Teens, Young Adults, Self-Esteem & Life Transitions

Before any professional title, I am a mom, wife, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend navigating life’s ups and downs just like the individuals I support. These roles keep me grounded and remind me daily that life is layered, imperfect, and always evolving.

As a middle and high school mental health counselor, I support students as they move through the academic, social, and emotional challenges that come with growing up. Prior to my work in public education, I served as a college and career counselor in therapeutic high schools across New Jersey, where I had the opportunity to provide individualized support to students who needed additional understanding and care. I also have experience in private practice, working with individuals ranging in age from 5 years old through adulthood.

Outside of counseling, I’ve always felt connected to teamwork, movement, and community. I was a multi-sport athlete, coached girls’ basketball, and directed summer basketball camps. Those experiences shaped my understanding of resilience, connection, and the importance of showing up for yourself and others; even during difficult moments.

My approach to counseling is collaborative and compassionate. I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. At the core of my work is creating a space where you feel safe to show up as you are, explore what you’re carrying, and better understand who you are becoming. Together, we focus on building awareness, strengthening coping skills, and staying present in the process.

Across all of these settings, one truth has remained constant: everyone carries a story that deserves to be heard with care and without judgment. It is a privilege to listen, to honor each journey, and to walk alongside others as they continue to shape their own path. My hope is always the same: that you feel supported not only in getting through life’s challenges, but in growing through them.
