Holistic and Integrative Mental Health Care for Women and Families

Therapy for the woman who holds everything together

You carry a lot.

“You wake up already thinking about what everyone else needs. You keep the schedules, remember the appointments, hold the family together, show up at work, and somehow keep going—even when you’re running on empty.

But what if life didn’t have to feel this heavy?

What if you didn’t have to wake up already feeling behind?

What if your mind felt quieter, your body less tense, and you could move through your day without carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs?

If you’re reading this, chances are you’ve been taking care of everyone else for a long time…

You don’t have to keep carrying it by yourself.

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum challenges, relationship struggles, parenting stress, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life, you don’t have to face it alone.

At Your Path to Empowerment, we provide compassionate, holistic, and integrative mental health care for women, children, teens, couples, and families. We understand that every person and every season of life is different, which is why we take the time to truly understand your story and create a plan for care that’s tailored to your unique needs.

Wherever you are in your journey, we’re here to walk alongside you.”

A Holistic Approach to Counseling

The mind-body connection is a powerful one.  Your relationships, the food you put in your body, your work life, and who/what you follow on social media all impact your mental health and well-being. You are not a problem to be solved, but rather a human being who reacts in response to your environment, circumstances, and life experiences.

At Your Path to Empowerment, we look at the full picture—the whole person, not just the symptoms. We believe meaningful healing happens when we address the habits, relationships, thought patterns, and daily stressors that influence your mental health. Together, we’ll help you build healthier boundaries, navigate difficult relationships, manage overwhelming expectations, and develop practical tools like mindfulness and self-compassion to support lasting well-being.

You Don’t Have to Figure It Out Alone.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming. You may have questions about what therapy looks like, whether it’s the right fit, or how to get started. At Your Path to Empowerment, we want you to feel comfortable, informed, and supported from the very beginning. We’re here to answer your questions and help you decide what type of care is the best fit for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Getting started is simple. Complete our New Client Request Form, and we’ll learn a little more about what you’re looking for so we can thoughtfully match you with the therapist who best fits your needs, preferences, schedule, and insurance.

A member of our team will typically contact you within one business day to discuss next steps, answer any questions, and help you get connected with the right therapist. If you submit your request over the weekend or on a holiday, we’ll reach out on the next business day.

You don’t have to figure that out on your own.

Every therapist on our team has unique specialties, experience, and areas of focus. When you complete our New Client Request Form, we’ll take the time to understand what you’re looking for and thoughtfully match you with a therapist who feels like the best fit.

If the fit doesn’t feel right, we’ll gladly help you find another therapist on our team.

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know you.

We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, learn more about your history, discuss your goals, and answer any questions you may have. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—our goal is simply to understand your story and begin building a therapeutic relationship where you feel comfortable, supported, and heard.

Yes. We are in-network with:

  • Aetna
  • Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS)
  • Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey
  • UnitedHealthcare (commercial plans)

Before your first appointment, our billing team will verify your benefits and explain any copays, deductibles, or coinsurance that may apply so there are no surprises.

If you’re planning to self-pay or use out-of-network benefits, we’re happy to discuss those options as well.

Yes.

Many of our therapists offer secure telehealth appointments in addition to in-person sessions at our Paramus office. During the scheduling process, we’ll discuss your preferences and help determine the option that best meets your needs.

This depends on your individual needs and goals.

Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and establish a strong therapeutic relationship. As progress is made, sessions may become less frequent. Together, you and your therapist will determine a schedule that feels right for you.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer.

Some people come to therapy for support during a specific life transition, while others choose to continue longer as they work through deeper patterns or ongoing challenges. Your therapist will regularly check in with you about your goals and adjust your treatment plan as your needs evolve.

Our therapists work with children, teens, young adults, adults, couples, and families experiencing a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Life Transitions
  • Pregnancy & Postpartum Mental Health
  • Infertility & Pregnancy Loss
  • Relationship Challenges
  • Grief & Loss
  • Stress & Burnout
  • Self-Esteem & Body Image

If you’ve found yourself wondering whether therapy could help, that’s often reason enough to explore it.

You don’t have to wait until you’re overwhelmed or everything feels like it’s falling apart. Many people come to therapy because they want to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, navigate a life transition, or simply have a dedicated space to reflect, grow, and feel supported.

It’s also completely normal to feel unsure or even a little nervous about getting started. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll meet you where you are and move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
