Therapists for Women’s Issues in Bergen County
Ashley Czesak, LCSW, RYT
Founder & Clinical Director | Women’s Mental Health, Motherhood, Anxiety & Life Transitions

I founded Your Path to Empowerment with the vision of creating a warm, supportive space where women and families feel truly seen, heard, and cared for through every stage of life.
My approach to therapy is holistic, compassionate, and deeply human. I believe you are not a problem to be fixed, but a whole person shaped by your experiences, relationships, environment, and life story. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients understand the bigger picture, navigate life’s challenges, and reconnect with themselves beneath the stress, overwhelm, and survival mode.
As both a therapist and a woman who has experienced childhood trauma, infertility, pregnancy loss, and the challenges of motherhood, I understand how heavy life can feel at times. You do not have to carry it alone.
Over the course of my career, I have specialized in women’s mental health and support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, body image concerns, life transitions, infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal and postpartum challenges, relationship stress, and emotional overwhelm.
In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) with additional certification in Yin Yoga. My passion for yoga and nervous system healing has deepened the way I approach mental health, allowing me to incorporate mindfulness, self-compassion, body awareness, and whole-person healing into my work when appropriate.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and my master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University. I have completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Perinatal Mood Disorders through Postpartum Support International (PSI).
Whether you are navigating a difficult season, feeling disconnected from yourself, or simply looking for a safe place to process and grow, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and create a life that feels more balanced, connected, and fulfilling.
Above all, I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the need to have it all figured out.
