Lauren Mulkay, LPC
Therapist | Clinical Supervisor
My goal is to help clients—whether individually, as a couple, or as a child—reach their fullest potential and create lasting, positive change by helping to understand the interconnectedness of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through prioritizing mindfulness and self-care, I guide you toward personal growth, improved emotional resilience, and healthier, more satisfying relationships. We will work collaboratively to increase self-awareness, build effective coping skills, and develop healthier thinking and communication patterns.
In my practice, I specialize in helping adults navigate a range of challenges including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, and eating disorders. I also work with couples on fostering deeper emotional connection, enhancing communication strategies, and resolving patterns of conflict to build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. I also have experience working with children and adolescents, utilizing techniques that are both engaging and therapeutic, to help clients express their emotions and navigate social and emotional challenges.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey with extensive experience in individual adult and adolescent psychotherapy, children’s play therapy, and couples therapy. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Hodges University in Naples, FL. Using a blend of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques, I will create a customized treatment plan to meet the unique needs of where you are on your journey.
