Meet –
Michelle Lama, LAC, CADC
Therapist
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist passionate about helping individuals feel seen, heard, and supported while creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build self-awareness, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Using a strength-based and evidence-based approach, I collaborate with adolescents and adults navigating life’s challenges to develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. My goal is to meet clients where they are at and empower them to reconnect with their inner strengths and resilience.
In my practice, I specialize in supporting individuals and couples facing various concerns, including anxiety, trauma, depression, OCD, grief and loss, and substance use. I also have a special interest in women’s mental health and life transitions, helping clients find balance, clarity, and a deeper sense of self. I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree and a Certificate in Alcohol, Addiction, and Gambling from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from Hunter College.
My aim is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected—both within yourself and in your relationships. In our work together, you’ll find a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself. I take time to truly understand your story, your goals, and what brings you to therapy.
Sessions are tailored to your unique needs and may include exploring thoughts and behaviors, building coping skills, processing past experiences, and developing practical tools for daily life. I combine evidence-based techniques with a compassionate, human approach, so therapy feels both meaningful and actionable.
Whether you’re seeking support through a difficult time or aiming to deepen your personal growth, we will proceed at a pace that feels right for you. You don’t have to navigate this alone!
